Jesus, you are our Lord, our Savior but also our Friend.
This is what separates You from the idols and gods of other generations. You desire our obedience not out of selfishness but out of a longing for friendship with us.
You go with us everywhere we go. You endure every experience - good and bad - with us. No matter how many times we turn away from you, your arms remain open wide.
While earthly friends may come and go, your friendship is eternal. You always want what's best for us and you will never lead us astray.
You laid your life down for us, and you command us to the same for our friends. You gave us the model of the what a perfect Friend is like.
Lord, continue to teach us, refine us, and mold us into the friend you want us to be.
