Offended by God (Matt 11:6)

Blessed is the one who is not offended by me - Matthew 11:6

You may wonder why Jesus needed to say these words to begin with.

After all, if He is God (and God is all loving), then why would anyone ever be offended by Him in the first place?

Nonetheless, we know from history that people were very offended by Jesus - so much so that they tortured Him and murdered Him on the Cross.

What was so offensive about Jesus? Why did people hate Him so much despite Him being the literal incarnation of Love itself?

It is because He spoke the truth.

In fact, not only did He speak the truth, but He was and is the Truth. He is the standard by which everything else in this world is measured.

There is nothing false or fake in Him.

Just as darkness cannot coexist with light, falsity cannot coexist with truth.

A world that is in love with lies will hate the Truth.

A world that rejoices with darkness will be repulsed by light.

The one who is not offended by Christ is blessed because he has aligned himself with the Truth. In the great war raging between Good and Evil, he has pledged his allegiance with Good.

The world may look like a dark place now. It may seem like we live in a world of lies. It may appear as if Truth has disappeared completely.

But those who have placed their faith in Christ know how the story ends. We know who wins the battle.

This life is our opportunity to choose which side we want to take in this war. We have been given the divine gift of free will. And not even God will force our hand.

And if we find ourselves offended by Jesus, we may want to make sure we're wearing the right uniform.

I have a clear vision that a Christian must be involved in helping others this is how we return to Christ within community

Referring to Johns quote 9:39 you posted above, instead of Jesus making those who “see” blind why doesn’t he want to help those people rather than blind them?
