Prayer for Wisdom (Prov 3:13-14)

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold - Proverbs 3:13-14

Heavenly Father, King of Wisdom thank you for breathing breath into our lungs this morning. Thank you for creating this world and placing us within it. Thank you for the hope of heaven and an eternity of peace, joy, and happiness in your presence that awaits us. Every good and perfect gift comes from you, and we thank you for each one.

But most of all Father, we thank you for your son Jesus - Wisdom made flesh. Thank you God for coming down to us, that we may be brought up to you. Thank you for becoming like us, so that we could become like you.

Train us o Lord, to fix our eyes forever on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Let us know truly that Wisdom comes from you alone.

You Jesus, are the Way the Truth and the Life. The answers to the deepest mysteries of life are found in you. The fulfilment of the deepest longings of our hearts are found only in you.

Thank you Jesus for living a perfect life, dying a perfect death, and sending your perfect Spirit to come and begin the process of perfection within us.

Holy Spirit, you are the Spirit of Truth, and you have chosen to make our bodies your dwelling place. You have given us the mind of Christ. Teach us Lord to access this divine wisdom on a daily basis, surrendering to you more deeply each day.

Refine us and retrain us to see as you see and to think as you think. Heal our minds from the damage done by this world of sin that we have been born and bred into. Open our eyes to see the world from your perspective.

We yield ourselves to your perfect love and wisdom, both now and forevermore.
