Preserve me O God, for in you I take refuge - Psalm 16:1
God of all creation, You indeed are our refuge. You are like an impenetrable fortress in time of war. You are like the wings of a mother bird covering her chicks. You are like the strong arms of a loving Father wrapped around his son.
We are at home in You, O God. Nothing can ultimately harm us when we abide in You, Jesus. There is safety in Your presence, and comfort under Your mighty rule. Your heavenly love casts out all fear from our souls. We are immortal in Your care.
If You are for us, who can be against us? Who will dare to make a charge against God's elect? Who will seek to come against the sons and daughters of the King of kings and the God of gods?
You have made us in Your own image, Father. May we grow up to be like You in all things. May we talk like You talked while You were on the earth. May we walk like you walked. May we love like You loved.
May we fix our eyes always on You, above all the chaos and the cares of this world. Teach us to think thoughts according to the mind of Christ. Teach us to speak according to the Spirit of Truth. Teach us to live from the place of Your unconditional love.
May we abide in You Father, forever and always, and may You abide in us wherever our feet may take us.
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself,
unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me
John 15:4
